Visual artist. Born in 1983 in Malmö, Sweden. Lives and works in Malmö.
Ossian Theselius creates his art by channeling his inner world, without expectations or pre-planning. His distinctive style is characterized by soft, rounded swirls of color, reminiscent of modern “kurbits” (a traditional Swedish decorative style). However, the artist has a wide range of expressions and he works with many different techniques and materials.
Theselius is self-taught. Many of his paintings can be seen on walls and other public surfaces around Malmö and across the world. He has previously exhibited at venues such as Steinsland Berliner Gallery, Österängens Konsthall, Galerie Léger, and Martin Bryder Gallery. He has also completed public art commissions for institutions including the New Karolinska Hospital in Solna, Västfastigheter in Västra Götaland, and Krut on the fourth floor of Malmö City Library.
