Visual artist. Born 1978 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Jonathan “Ollio” Josefsson started off as a graffiti artist, exploring the industrial outskirts of Gothenburg in the mid 90’s. Today, Ollio is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed graffiti artists with an artistic expression characterized by motion and “formless form”, triggering the imagination. When studying for a Master in Textile art at School of Design and Crafts at University of Gothenburg, Ollio transferred his playful and colourful abstract patterns to hand-tufted rugs. Experimenting freely with form, colour and surface, the artist refers to his process as “intuitive improvisation”.
